Concerned Citizens of Montauk (CCOM)
Krisel has been a member of the board for many years (2007-2015; 2021-present). CCOM protects Montauk environmentally through its agenda dedicated to testing of water quality, coastal resiliency and environmental sustainability. As a member of the Executive Committee, Krisel weighs in on legal matters.
Krisel is a Past President of the Nassau County Bar Association; she served as President from 2015-2017. She has received the Presidents Award (2009), as well as the Past Presidents Award (2022). She chaired the Municipal Law, Environmental, Publications and Adoption Committees. In 2009, Krisel initiated Mortgage Foreclosure clinics that continue to meet twice a month to assist individuals facing foreclosure. In 2012, the clinics expanded to include Superstorm Sandy complications and in 2020, Krisel initiated COVID 19 virtual consultations for individuals and small businesses faced with COVID-related complications.
